I would like all opinions on the Arctic Cat 500 4x4 Automatic MRP and the MultiRack Platform System?  Lawdog

Lawdog, my buddy has a 2001 500 4x4, it has been subjected to severe abuse and neglect, and it just keeps coming back for more. All he has done to it since he has had it is put gas in it. I am almost certain that he has never even changed the oil in it.. :eek:
He uses it daily hauling feed to livestock etc... as well as on our riding trips every couple weeks (this is where the severe abuse comes into play).
It rides and handles well, doesn't sit too high either. The only thing I don't like is the toe/heel shifting, which may or may not be the same on the new model...

I have never heard anything negative about an artic cat.  They make a fine atv as far as I know.   A guy on one of my hunting lease is about to buy the AC 500 4X4, so soon I will be able to give a bit more information.  I looked at the smaller AC's a couple years back before buying a side by side instead.  Everything I found indicated a well though out and well made vehicle.  I doubt you will have any problems or complaints wiht an AC 4X4.  Good luck and give us a review once you buy one and give it a ride or two.

I too own a side by side, a Polaris Ranger 6x6 with a John Deere Yanmar diesel engine that my son shoe horned in - great around the place but it doesn't fit in my new Dodge Dakota pick-up.  My son in-law just bought a Polaris 800 EFI and what a hand full.  I don’t need something that big/powerful.  I have looked over the rack system, I like the idea and I may end up with that automatic 500 4x4 Arctic Cat.  I’ll let you know.  Lawdog
