Hello All,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but, does anyone know of a good place to shoot prairie dogs in NE or SD?

I live in central Iowa and want to try my luck on a long weekend shooting prairie dogs.

If close enough and have an idea of where to start I might be able to sneak away for a 3-4 day weekend before the summer work gets too busy.

Thanks,
Hutch

Hutch,

If you are just looking for a place to shoot p-dogs there are places  lot cloaser than N&S Dakota, Theres some real good places in western KS and easterd CO also the OK panhandle has some p-dogs. I've never hunted the Dakotas but have had a lot of shooting in the places i mentioned.
Good luck Hutch, hope you find a good place to shoot Sod Poodles.........Joe...........

I know that there are lots of PDs around Winner, SD, which is in the south central part of the state and would not be terribly far from you.  I have not hunted there, but my impression is that PD hunting there is pretty commercialized - could be wrong.

Good luck!

I went out to Winner SD about 2 years ago, and ain't going back again.

If you go to Winner bring plenty of $$$$$$ as I found out $$$$$$$ talks real big at Winner SD.
Happy shooting, may you hit what you aim at.
