Recommendations for a Case Tumbler

I was wondering what brand case tumbler the group would recommend. I was told that Dillon makes a good one but it has a top of the line price and no one seems to give much of a price break. I thought that if I could go cheap anywhere it would be here. I've seen other brands for as cheap as $30.

I have two Lyman Turbo 2200 Auto-Flo "tumblers".  They have been working great since the first day I unpacked them, many years ago.

I picked the Lyman Turbo Twin tumbler. It came with 2 bowls, 1 large and 1 small. Midway had the best price on it. It works real well but don't let the add fool you when it says they're quiet. I have no problem hearing it from the basement when I'm watching TV. As for separating the media and shells, I went to Walmart and bought a flat bottomed plastic kitchen strainer and a plastic oil drain pan for about $5. It works well but I still have do dump each shell. The drum type separator might work better on large quantities.

Last spring I picked up one of the Hornady M-3 tumblers through Cabelas.  It will hold 1,000 .38 Special cases.  The price was almost half that of other tumblers with the same capacity.  It is very quiet and I'm more than happy with it.

Cabelas' stock number is XN-21-3504 if you want to check the current price.

Hope this helps,
-Matt
