Rendezvous....Ontonagon,Mi.

:D   Greetings geltleman.  Thought that I would drop a not to the affect of this fun time ahead.  It starts on the 29July and ends on 6 August.  From what I understand so far there is better than 230 teepees signed up.  I was working on site on Sunday and there were already about 25 set up.  There also is a traders row and several shooting games set up.  Lots of gongs and a woods walk also set up.  Time period is roughly the  1770s to the 1840s.  If you are planning on shooting you must be in period garb,also to be in primative camp area( old time shirt and a pair of black jeans will work.no tennis shoes).  Camping area for both primative and tin teepees also.  Ontonagan(also very small) is not hard to find so once in the village you cant miss the site.  Directions all over the place to it.  At this point we are expecting well over 4500 to attend.  It is located in the northwest end of the Upper peninsula of Michigan.   If interested.drop me a PM.............stay safe..............King

WOW!  I am glad to see that the spirit has not died in that part of the woods.  I try to stay away from the big ones.  We have the the Bridger Rondy next door in Wyoming, but that place is so large, you have to pack your lunch to go to the range.

i , along with several others from the orlando, fl. area, attended this event.  we are long time friends with the booshway, tom hamilton.

although it wasn't the size that has been mentioned here, it was one of the most enjoyable weeks that i have spent anywhere.  it was a perfect example of "i'll take quality over quanity anytime".  it was one of the few events that the whole town welcomed us with open arms.(and full glasses)

although it was a long drive form florida, i would do it again , and plan to when it is held there again.  what a great time.

i have attended in the area of 40 rendezvous, and this certainly ranks at the top.
