Just apply the wax on the bowstring including the serving and then put the string between your index finger and thumb. Using a fast forward and back motion rub the waxed string until you will feel the heat from the friction. The wax will melt into the string as you do this. Some guys i know use a piece of leather or a plastic sandwich bag to do this but i just use my fingers and it works fine for me. Hope this helps.
