What a difference 8grs make!!
« on: May 23, 2005, 05:36:24 AM »
The 204 barrel I purchased that could barely scratch a 2" group with either Hornady or Remington 40grain bullets, is an absolute tack driver with 32s.  Easily 3/4" groups at 100, and less that 3" group at 300 yds with 5 shots!  If I could drop one shot it would've been 1 1/2".  I guess I won't be using it for a pry bar after all.

My 204 Encore rifle shoots the same way!

With the factory 40 grainers, the best I was getting was about a 5 1/2 inch group and every bullet "keyholed"!

The factory 32 grainers printed 3/8 inch!
My reloads with 32 grain bullets printed .330!

That 8 grain difference is amazing!

It's all about twist rates. What is the twist rate of your gun?

My twist rate is whatever the factory T/C puts out.  12/1??
