made out well at the range
« on: August 29, 2005, 09:20:24 AM »
I took My 99e .300  out to the range as I have just started to work up a deer hunting load.  I loaded 150 gr Nosler Partitions with 40gr - 41gr ofIMR 4895 in .5gr increments.  My results were as follows all at 100 yards with a solid bench rest using a Bushnell Elite 3200 2X7 32mm scope on 7 power.

40gr   -   1.5inch 3 shot group
40.5gr-   7/8 of an inch 3 shot group
41gr   -   1 1/8 inch  5 shot group

No pressure signs noted or observed!!!

I will try and work up to 41.5gr in .2gr increments and see if I lose accuracy then pick the best grouping load and Practice the free hand shots as I did 3 of these and I won't even say what my groups were like
I thought I would post this here and on the Reloading form.
Thanks for those who helped with my questions in previous posts!!!
