swore id never buy another after the last champion i had I was the least accurate .45 ive ever owned. Did some dealing yesterday and came away with a 1911A1 5 inch loaded blued brand new. Didnt really need another 1911 but figured maybe it would renew my confidense in springfield or completely turn me off to them one way or the other. Seems like a nice gun so far ill have to torcure test it today.

Well I put about 3000 rounds through mine in a year. I did however split the barrel. I have it back to Springfield to get repaired. I still like Springfield even though I have this problem. The gun has served me well.
