Dumb muzzle brake question

8)  8) Why couldn't a muzzle brake be silver sodered  on ? instead of threading it on?

  Like I said it's a dumb question. :roll:

Actually most are threaded on, especially sporting models, but soldering is a viable method.  I don't have a clue as to why.

Soft solder should work as well.  If you get the barrel hotter than the melting point of solder you will have other problems as well.
