I know everyone raves about Ed's TC, and I have dealt with him a number of times. I have been trying to get in touch with him for a week. E-mails, 8 phone calls and three messages. Nothing. The few dollars I save with him just aren't that important to me to go through this. If he can't handle all his business, he should let something go. Service is great once you contact him, but thats the problem. DONE.

Ya gotta realize that the TCs are a side line for him. He keeps up the best he can but he's only one man. His "real job" is a CPA and it's a full time job. Believe it or not he even tries to have a life outside of work and TCs. He has a family and likes to spend some time with them. He also goes to a lot of gunshows where he is buying and selling TCs.

It ain't like he runs a full time TC selling business ya know.

Never had any luck dealin with him at all.........his business problems are his. If he is going to play the game he still has to play within the boundaries of what people will deal with....or they won't deal with him.

I will say he is very hard to get ahold of. but once you do you will find a good deal. he is very fair works hard to make you happy.
I have worked out several deals with him and have been happy with them all.

His website was just updated on  July 15, 2003.

I have not found the aggravation worth the savings. It costs $10 in long distance calls to save $2.

Those who don't like dealing with Ed are welcome to not deal with him.  It leaves more good deals for those of us who do.

Thats fair enough, but most of the folks who write to this board are defending Ed.  It is the few that want to take him on.

I usually had good luck contacting him until about a month ago.  I called and left a message.  Waited a few days tried again.  He never returned my call.  I went else where and still got a good deal, just waited a while longer.

Ed must do alright for himself with his TC buisness and i wish him well but i wont bother calling him again.the last two barrels i bought i bought local for less money than what he was asking.the prices i paid were in line with his Micky Mouse web site that was updated years ago.all the deals i left there at Eds can be a deal for anyone else wanting to deal with a Micky Mouse outfit.this is my feeling about Eds and im sure i will have some more nasty responces just like when i started a tread some time ago about Eds.

contenders are like anything you get them where you get the best deals if you can get them at a beter price around you then by all means buy them.
around me  barrels are hard to come by and when you find them they are a little high.

I have had no problems with Ed.  I order enough from him that I usually have an updated list laying around the house.  I observed his booth for a while at the big Tulsa gun show last year.  He was definately not hurting for business.  Barrels were being sold 3 and 4 at a time right and left.

I have dealt with Ed for a couple of years and have received excellent service and good prices on barrels scopes and stocks. If I have a problem contacting  Ed, I just note to check back in a day or so. I don't consider my contender items to be life or death and I understand this is a sideline for Ed.

Wally "the reader" check out my note. I have tried many times in many formats to contact ED with no response. When you contact him he does give good service. As a Hot Rodder, as you put it, I guess waiting several weeks and multiple messages/e-mails etc is being impatient so be it.

As far as advertizing on this site...its false advertisement if you can not contact the business.

I am sure you feel much better now you have that off your chest.

As I (and others) have said if you don't wish to buy from Ed then don't.

This one has gone far enough. I don't think that there is anything that is going to come out of this except for a bit more abrasiveness and personal attacks. It is locked.
