T-24 for highpower
« on: May 24, 2005, 02:02:01 AM »
Anybody use them? Now that Leupold doesn't see fit to put targer knobs on the 40mm scopes, I'm thinking about alternatives. I have a T-10 and like it for smallbore, but haven't tried any of the bigger ones. I'm putting together a highpower standard rifle and it's gonna need a scope. What are the board's opinions there?

Nobade,
I have a T-24 on a 6MM-284 Reach out and touchem PD rig. Zero problems and very clear scope. Tracking is right on. The only complaint I have is that the screw-on lens cover dosen't screw onto the sunshade, not threaded.

I have one of the new T24's with 1/4 min clicks and 1/2 min dot. I like the scope but am just getting into silhouette, so I really can't compare it to anything I owned previously. Mine came with a sunshade that is threaded and the cover threads onto it.

Where did you pick up a T-24 with 1/4 moa clicks 1/2 moa dot?  All I have been able to find is 1/8 moa clicks with 1/2 moa dot.

I also have one with 1/4 moa clicks and (it looks like) 1/2 moa dot.  On a .260.  No problems, but I've only used it in two matches.  Optically it's not quite as good as my Leupold 24-BRD, but for the price (less than $400) it's probably a better value.  Leupold doesn't even sell the 24-BRD any more.  I was told the Weaver weighed around 17 oz., but haven't weighed it myself.

I got mine from www.brunoshooters.com. about a month ago. When I called they had both the 1/4 min adj and 1/8 min, so you have to make sure you ask for the right one.
