Well after waiting since sep. to be able to order a 22-250 ss-26" barrel for my encore then couldn't find one, finaly i got it a week ago. put a scope on it cleaned it and went to the range. shot 14 rounds through it 10 win. 2 rem. 2 fed. they all had a nice petty white line right above the case web. so it is back at tc. took ups over a week now.
really P.O.d here. i sold a nice shooting 220 swift to bue this thing as i drow a mzloader elk tag and needed a mz thought the encore would fit the bill and replace the swift too. so now that i have this problem i have had some guys tell me that this is not a surprise tc chambers are often sloppy. hope to they get it right. i think if there is any problem with it i am going to trade it in on rem. 700.
also i really dont care mutch about the looks but i can't belive the finish on this barrel looks pitted all over the hinge block, and uneven brush over the rest.
i like my buddys h&R mutch better(and it's cheaper).
must say the 209x50 was great 3 pyr pelets-300xtp=1.5" @100vds.
