There is a brand new message board on-line with a handi-Rifle forum.
It's called the "Gun Cuture" and looks like it could be good once there are a few more people posting.

lets see, your new, it's new, there are ZERO posts to the H&R section of the start-up site and you say it looks like it could be good? How did you come to that conclusion?...Are you the one that set up the new site? Are you connected with in in SOME way? I would hate to see members move their main interest from here to there, especially since this seems to be the BEST H&R site around and GB was so good to us when we needed a place to be.

I agree whole heartedly with MSP Ret. although I do on ocassion vist other sites,but graybeards is the only one I post at. Why? because of the people here and its the only help I could find for my handi rifle. So yes I do feel some loyalty to this forum. I think I am going to stay here. However by all means I do welcome you.

However for the board that you mentioned, There is a handi rifle forum but there isn't any posts. How could this be interesting? My loyalty is to Graybeard.

I have to admit, ANYWHERE I can get additional info on the Handi, I will visit. THANK YOU for a new place for our beloved Handi Rifles to get the attention they deserve. I will visit often.

With that said, you will have a tough time competing with this forum. Lots of OLD HATS here who are well-versed in the Handi and its eccentric ways. Good luck and welcome to our forum. Hope to hear more from you!

Welcome aboard --- That said the reason i ended up at gray beards site was i had been to some of the others and DID NOT care for the way their boards were run .

If i wanted to see some guy talk about pop cans on a shooting forum i'd still be there , GB runs a better than most site and i for one will stay right here :evil:

Hey,
I like Greybeard's too, Thats why I became a member and will remain a member.
I did not join just yesterday to promote my own agenda. I've been here for a few months now and really enjoy this forum.
I'm not trying to steal anybody away from anything.
I myself, am a member a few different forums and am able to enjoy everyone of them. I dont just read one book over and over or watch just one TV show nor do I shoot just one type of firearm.
I plugged the "other" forum because I thought this "forum" was a place where a guy could share information. Maybe I was wrong.

Hey,
Bulldog, don't take offence at the members here. You have to know the history this group have been though. We had a forum which was actually provided by Harrington & Richardson that was so invaded in trouble makers "trolling" thru and so unregulated that H&R shut us down with no notice. GBO was very gracious to provide us a new home and has been very responsive to our suggestions and needs. Of couse some are going to be defensive. And human nature being what is is, sometimes might come across as uncivilized. Several of us also visit other sites and are always watching for hints that will further our enjoyment and use of the Handi rifles. You stated you had been "here for a few months..", so you should be aware of how this group hangs together and helps fellow members. It has become more of a family then any other forum I have seen. With that in mind, please, cut everybody some slack. Welcome to the forum. Will enjoy getting to know you. (Since we both have a love for the 45-70 Gov't, we are bound to get along.)

I may not be the longest member here or the oooldest but we have a good spot here and all are welcome to join us as long as we all play nice , we have had some who didn't . you can learn alot from this bunch of guys so grab a chair and relax awhile - again sorry :shock:

Although there are other sites that have H&R forums, after the Original H&R forum shut down of which I was a part of, this site became the new "headquarters" for H&R talk and is number 1 on the internet for H&R fans. It would be difficult to beat that.
Thanks to Greybeard for his warm welcome to the H&R original family, which got this form started.

I went to the new forum when I saw a post about it's arrival on another forum. They had a couple of posts by that time, but being an ezboard forum, I just didn't feel like enjoying the hassle of joining another one of their boards. Ezboards tend to be slow and shutdown pretty frequently.

This has been a good site and I have appreciated the restraints GB has put on its members. Restraints that certainly weren't around on the old forum that probably contributed to its demise.

It takes more than a little sticks and stones to pry me away from a good forum and I have been called far worse than any of you want to post here :-D Lets move on from this thread and get down to Handi-Rifles, shall we? I'm counting on you guys to guide me through.
