The 1873 can be worth a couple of hundred dollars in poor condition to 135000 dollars if it is one of the "1 of 1000" in mint condition. There are at least two calibers that this arm came in - 32 and 44 caliber. The "plain jane" 32 calibers can go for about $6000 and the 44's are typically worth a bit less.
These guns are not usually safe to shoot with todays black powder loads and certainly never with smokeless powders. They are for collectors who like to have them displayed and never used.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.

A '92 Winchester is NOT a '73 Winchester and doesn't sell for even close to the same price. But is much stronger and is a shooter. Barrel would be Octagon not Hexagon. Eight sides not six.
If it's as nice as you say it's probably worth something in the neighborhood of $1000-1500. Just where in there really depends on a lot of things. Condition is every thing. It MUST be original to be of any interest to a collector and they not shooters are the ones who pay the big bucks. If anything has been altered it drastically reduces the value.
Caliber matters too. If a .25-20 I'd be interested in knowing more but a .38-40 is of no interest to me but might be to a CAS shooter. It really should be taken to a Winchester Collector for a proper evaluation. It is worth enough to do that.
