I began reading it with interest. Got thru about two pages of it without feeling too bad about his report. I think it was on page three he took a total detour to things of no relavance to the story and it appeared he was merely trying to drag out his tale to see how long he could keep your attention.

By page four he was being so blantantly untruthful I could no longer bear it. No one is as stupid as he tried to pretend he was. He had by this time just begun to make up stuff to see how long you'd read. I gave up well before the end of that page.

I now wonder if any part of it even the first sentence is truthful. My thoughts are there is zero truth to the tale. I doubt now he even has a cabin. Dunno why folks have to be like that. Just being truthful seems a trait not many possess these days.

I agree GB . Seems the style of writing turn to that of a veteran novelist like Steven King . Went from a story to a tale .

Yes it reads like a novel.  He portrays all hunters like trigger happy killers shooting and killing everything at will.  I don't know for sure.  I don't like it when we hunters are portrayed like trigger happy killers.  This burns my butt.  The people who don't hunt yet don't have an opinion are ready to join Peta because they think its the truth. GB your right not everything we read is real. Sorry for my opinion but it just gets to me.  BigBill

I taught my kids with their very first BB gun never kill anything just to kill it.  I taught them if you kill it you eat it!!!  Otherwise let it live.  Needless to say there's plenty of empty soda cans that were targets for many years at my camp ready to be shot again but now its with 22's and sks's.  Now they are shooting paper targets. Hunting ethics starts out with their very first BB gun.

Well heck fellas, I just read the first page. Is it just me or did this sound just like a narrative for The Outer Limits? Also, has anybody listened to The War Of The Worlds lately?
I like a good read, I have even told a few myself, but long before I wind them down you know you have been had, hook line and sinker. But that is a story. For entertainment purposes only, the fun of it, you all know what I mean. I don't claim it to be true, Unless it is some of my personal experiences.

Jeff-B, you are right, you said story! However the "author" does not say story.

by Jan Klement
" Time has passed, about two years to be exact, and I feel that I better write down my story before it passes into that gray area of unreality".

"You who read this story can expect no great prose, no witicisms to tempt the chuckle bones, nothing to challenge the imagination. This will be a straightforward account of what happened".

This author is basically saying this is a real event that actually happened. It might be a good story, but it should not have been written up in the beginning to be factual. I did not even get to the portrayal of hunters being bloodthirsty whatevers.

But I do enjoy reading "stories" about bigfoot, and any other creatures of the night, That is my time to roam the woods and valleys. The darker the better, and when the hair stands up on the back of your neck, and nothing is making a noise, and the air is still and thick. Then you know you are close.
