New addition to the family (part 2)...
« on: September 04, 2005, 12:00:42 PM »
I just traded for this gun a few weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW!  I have always wanted a High Wall, and I finally found one in .30-06.  The best thing about the gun is its an early model, with the serial number on the bottom of the receiver instead of roll stamped on the side.  The rifle was manufactured in 1974, an its never been fired.  Actually, it looks like it just left the factory!

Now comes the hard part.  Do I actually shoot the gun, or let it remain "new" and unfired??  I have plenty of deer rifles, but I don't know if I can stand having a gun I don't use.  The again, I don't want to risk any accidents with such a beautiful weapon.

What do you think?

WOW! What a lucky find, and it looks just as you say, NIB! Shame to put any marks or dings on it, but I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it, if it were in my posession! In fact, if you don't want to be the first to shoot it, just send it my way! I've got plenty of .30-06 ammo, so no need to send any along!
