Turkey Hunting with 22 WMR or 17 HRM?
« on: August 15, 2005, 09:34:18 AM »
Hello members:  With fall turkey season approaching, I would be interested in reading any experiences/opinions on shooting turkeys (< 100 yards) with either of the magnum rimfires.  Thanks is advance.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the great outdoors.

And let me add to this by saying forget the .17 HMR as even the 20 gr. loads are way to explosive.  Personally we use our pellet rifles on Turkey's under 60 yards.  Lawdog
