know that several different Martini actions like the Cadets, 12/15's as well as the large frames have been rechambered and/or rebarreled.

What I have not seen, is any reference about BSA International Match rifles. Is anyone aware of successful rechambering activities for these Match rifles?

I'm thinking that an International has plenty of beef and with the adjustable trigger might make a nice little centerfire bench gun.

I've not seen a International rebarreled, but I did see one rechambered for .22 Hornet. Like most .22 rimfires that were converted to Hornet, it didn't shoot accurately, do to the wrong twist rate.

Hi , I have rebarreled a B.S.A Matitni International martk one chambered for ..17 mach IV ..
The extractor was a bit of a problem but I have it all figured now I have bseveral other martini's chambered for rimless cartriges using my version of extractor which is very simple to make up ..Rob

Hi , sorry I have not replied sooner .My mark 1 is now in cal .17 MachIV ..The extractor caused a lot of headaches and was a lot of work , the main problem I encountered was the fact that the extractor is pressed hard against the breech face when the action is closed and against the bolt face when the action is open ,this prevents the extrator arm (the bit that fits in the cut on the cartridge head ) from moving side ways, as it must do to extract the cartridge .. I made a completely new extractor which allows the bit that does the work to move around the rim and into the groove without contacting either the breech face or the bolt , the concept was easy putting it into practice was a challenge ..Detailing what is entailed here , would I think, take more space and time than would be allowed but I can be contacted at lefty1@paradise.net.nz
