My 17 year old car
« on: June 20, 2005, 10:46:36 AM »
Got a 1988 Plymouth reliant stationwagon back in '88. Bought it through AAFES. I 've had the car forever. I didn't think I was going to make it to the reunion, 'cause it finally blew a head gasket a week and a half ago. But I guess the guy upstairs was lookin' after me. Just had to replace the gasket . the head was not warped or anything. They did have to grind a couple of vavles .   These guys that work on my car are some of the most knowledgable people I know . Thanks to them, I will very happy to shoot with Hellacatcher and De41mag the 26th at home. This is the only good thing Chrysler made in my book. 174,000 miles and still going. Had the roof repainted on it also. And yes the A/C stills blows cold air.
I hope my new Ranger lasts as long as my other did. The car has really been a jewel and when I've had to replace little odds and ends, I don;t complain. In fact, I'm surprised it's lasted so long. :-D  :-D
