No, I haven't cept for the scoped 45-70 with the checkered shotgun stock on it, shooting 540gr loads in it. It didn't hurt me recoil wise on the shoulder cuz I have a short lead filled pipe in the stock bolt hole, but it beat the heck out of my cheek. Perhaps doing what Mac recommends and placing a neoprene cartridge carrier on the stock with a little extra foam to cushion your face might help. I shoot my 25-06 on a frame with the laminated stock and no extra weight or cheek protection and have never had any problems with the recoil using 115-120gr factory loads. So it could just be how the stock fits you and the lighter weight of the wood stock.
