Scope Filler Screws
« on: June 13, 2005, 11:23:42 AM »
Does anyone know the dimensions of the screws used to hold sights and scope mounts of the Encore and Contender barrels and where to get a supply of a dozen or so??  What I'm looking for are the filler screws w/o the head.  I prefer to have the front sight off my scope-mounted barrels. Thanks!

Screw sizes are,

Contender barrels are 6-48

Encore pistol barrels are 6-48

Encore rifle barrels are 6-48 for the rear sight and scope mount holes, the front sight hole is an 8-40

You can order them from Brownells or T/C or you might want to check with your local dealer.

I called TC customer service. Specify what barrel the screws are for: they cost $.95cents each, plus $3.95 shipping for the first $15.00 worth of product shipped.

I went to the local gunshop, they had a jar full of them from scope installs. They gave me all I wanted for free. Might be worth a try.  :D

I have done the same thing. Local gunshops have tons of them. :D
