If you shortened a superlight barrel would accuracy improve?

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Varminter, other than getting all the velo out of a cartridge, or having a long sight plane for iron sights, like the buffalo classic, all a long barrel does is locate tree limbs and vines, add weight, and yes have more whip than a shorter barrel of the same contour. with a good shooting gun, chopping it would be of little real value, other than "handiness", but with a rifle that shoots like a bad shotgun, it could be the saving grace, AFTER, all the other non-permanent fixes have been tried of course.

Hey Deadeye, I know you are busy but I have a few questions about your 307.

1. Who did the work including the brake?

2. Anything you would do different?

3. Approximate cost. Just the work, not the donor rifle. (pm is fine here)

Thank you for your time.

I know, I had to use just "307" to find it!!! But I knew Deadeye had posted specifics about it before.... 8) There are a couple other threads on it, but this one was the best....
