Looking for info on casting pewter

I am working on a water buffalo grip on a hidden tang blade and think it would look great with a cast pewter butt cap. Any info on casting pewter would be appreciated. I cast lead RBs but have no experience outside of that.

Whenever I run into a problem knifemaking, and can't locate an answer easily, I usually go to http://www.knifenetwork.com (formerly the Custom Knife Directory).   You need to register, but it's worth it.  Lots of well known knifemakers hang around there, and all sorts of info is available.  Try the "Fit and Finish" forum  with your query.
