I am partial to Blue dogs but any that get the job done are my favorite.
I hunt the Gascon type dogs large and atheletic with loud bawl mouths that you can hear for a long ways.
I also don't have to use a tracking collor to locate with, when I turn this type of dog out they are gone for about 20-30 minutes and if they don't strike they come in and we go somewhere else. You can hunt smaller tract this way.

I pretty well Echo what D.G. says Have had good Blues, Black and tans. Hudspeth, trigg, Julys, walkers, Plotts and some cross Breeds. The color don't meen much to me if they can get the job done. Had a little Red tick dog that could darn sure get the job done and had the sweetest yodle at the tree. Man this takes me back a while Take care......Joe.......
