Picked up my new bull barrel Handi 243 today.........hope it will shoot like my Hornet and 45-70, not like the ss synthetic 243 I have, it's all over the paper. Also got my Lee Anniversity Reloading kit, caliper and 38, 357, mag, and 357 Max dies. So, the adventure begins, will probably bug you guys to death on reloading. Bought the dies I got because I have a Contender 357 Max and no one makes ammo anymore ( maybe Dan Wesson does, not sure if it's the same). Also have one of the weird looking 223 Ultra Varmit Fluted coming Friday. That will make 5 Handi"s. BTW, do they, or did they make 357 Max barrels in a Handi?

Congrats on the 243 and the upcoming 223. NEF did make 357 max barrels but they are extremely hard to come by. You could always send your receiver back to get a 357 mag. barrel and have it reamed out to 357 max.

Sure would like to get one.......and I can't count, will have 6 Handi's and 1 Rossi 223 bull barrel ( a real shooter). My last 3, 22 Hornet, 45-70 , 17 HMR and now the 243 all have excellent triggers........... :grin:

You're lucky the trigger on my 223 was horrible until i done a trigger job on it. Got it down to a pound and a half. :grin: I'm happy with it.
