new boat motor!!!

I went to an outdoors show here in the Tampa Bay area this last weekend that was hosted by the Tampa Tribune. I saw something there that has really got the juices flowing. If you go to this companies web site at www.gator-tail.com you can see this motor they have come up with. It's not quite like the "go-devel" type motors in that it has a trim built into it. Has anyone else heard of these before?

How would a motor like that compare to an outboard with a jet drive ?

In answer to your question, a jet drive is not a good option in shallow water with a lot of weeds or a mud/sand bottom. The intake on the jet will clog and damage the pump in short order. Looks like the Gator Tail is designed to compete with the Go Devil type drives.
