.....I don't know the exact details but was told that it denoted a change in the internal spring and spring seat on the erector lens assy inside the scope and made the adjustments more consistant and reliable in the modified "c" newer versions........I have both a "c" and non "c" and can't tell any difference in the scopes but I don't have those on rifles that have heavy recoil and haven't had any problems with either.....hth..good luck and good shooting!!
