Hello everyone, I shot my BC 45-70 today for the first time. I followed lots of advice from the threads here and then finally got a chance to pull the triger on her. I shot with Winchester 300 grain HP Classics. It printed about three inches high at 50 yards. I had already changed out the rear sight to the newer H&R adjustable peep that is more reliable. I read on here somewhere how someone had already sighted theirs in and had it set at a certain point for 100 yard accuracy. I simply followed that guys description and set the rear sight at that point. I used the front post sight in the globe. I had read where someone thought that was the best suited for it. So, all that reading helped me out tremendously. I can't say enough to describe how pleased I am with the gun. It's awesome. I love it. I can't wait to start taking it out hunting. Well, that's the latest from ole Kentucky. Keep your powder dry! :-D
