Twist rate for sabots

I've read in a couple of places that a 1:28 twist rate for rifled barrels (12 gauge) provides the best accuracy. But with the exception of one company, I don't see any manufacturers making barrels with this twist rate. Mostly 1:34 or 1:35. Does anyone know of any companies that make such barrels?

I believe the Marlin 512 uses 1 in 28.  In mine, it does great with 385gr Win Partition Golds.  Those slugs aren't very good in my Browning A-Bolt with a 1 in 35.

The A-Bolt loves the Lightfield Hybred EXP(either 1 oz or 1 1/8) and the Marlin doesn't like them.

The only two I can find in production are the Tar Hunt custom guns with an ER Shaw barrel or the Browning BPS Rifled Deer Hunter.

I believe Marlin, Mossberg and Browning got out of the bolt-action slug gun business. Savage still makes one, 1:35 though.

I'm not hung up on getting on, just curious. If 1:28 is better, why is there not more barrels out there with that twist rate?

There's a barrel for the T/C Encore that has the 1:28 twist rate. Another reason to get me an Encore.
