Whose got a M97 in .357 Mag, with 4-1/4" barrel?
« on: June 28, 2005, 05:22:08 AM »
I am thinking about unloading some S&W pistols and buying a M97 with a 4-1/4" barrel in 357 Mag.  I have a M97 in 44 special with a 5-1/2" barrel already and love it.  Anyway, does anyone have a 357 with the short barrel, and if so, how does it handle and shoot?
Regards,

Tom

I have a 4.25" M97 .357 with adjustable sights.
It is about perfect for a small .357. It is just enough gun to handle loads like Federal Eagle 158 JSP or Winchester premium 180 grain Nosler.
I traded in a Python to get it and I'm not regretting it.

Just wanted to add that your thread got my F/A out of the safe and out to the range today.
It shot sooooo nicely.
ALMOST as well as my 10" .357 Contender off hand out to 100 yards.
Try Sixgunner.com and look up threads by Flatlander. His pic's got me drooling and he has a few of them.
