I shot both air rifle and air pistol in competition. I started just to have a way to practice for High Power and Service Pistol slow fire, and found the competition quality air guns a joy to shoot in their own right. There is just something about a precision instrument. My air rifle is a FWB 300 Universal, and my air pistol is a FWB C20. I also have a Beeman R1 Tyrolean model for squirrels and Field Target competition. Expensive equipment, but worth it all. Got good enough at one time to be invited to try out for the US National Team. Sea duty precluded advancing further, however.
