what kind of accuracy can i expect? i'm hopeing to get a half inch.

You should be able to shoot the eye out of a skunk at 100 yards. But you may find out as many do, that it prefers the 32g over the 40g pill. But they are an awesome caliber that is a joy to shoot.

mine shoots both weights about the same and is accurate almost to the point of being ridiculous. maybe i got a good one or maybe theyre all like this, but i can bench rest a 3/8" group at 100 yards just about anytime i want. these are great guns.

This sounds exaggerated and simply untrue, but I swear I did it.

I got a standard T/C encore barrel in stainless in 204 Ruger. Took it out to the Pawnee Grasslands North East of Greely.

In less than one box of bullets I had it zeroed at 300 yards. Barrel sighted it at 50 yards, moved to 100 yards, then 200 yards then out to 300 yards.

I have a Leupold 4 X 12 40 scope on mine.

I was able, after zeroing the rifle, to hit a red shotgun shell at 300 yards. I did this about five times. I wish I had a witness. It was like shooting a laser beam.

This was with the factory 32 grain hornady rounds and a brand new barrel.

All I did to break mine in was to run a bore snake through it after every shot. The only other thing I did was to "capture" the barrel pin on both sides witha piece of thin metal tape that is used in the ducting and ac business. A roll of that tape is about three dollars and it will last a long time.
