Has anyone had any experience with Savage Striker Pistols? I am most interested in the 510 F or 516 F SAK. I am thinking in terms of .243

                              Thanks

MARV,I HAD A STRYKER IN 22-250 IT SHOT HALF INCH GROUPS ALL DAY LONG.ARE YOU GETTING THIS GUN FOR HUNTING   0R JUST PLINKING?I FOUND THAT THE GUN WAS TOO LONG AND BULKY FOR PRACTICAL HUNTING PURPOSES AND I TRADED IT IN FOR A CONTENDER.NOW I CAN SHOOT MANY CALIBERS WITH ONE FRAME.BUT IF YOU WANT THE STRYKER,I WOULD DEFINATELY UNDERSTAND,AS I HAVE YET SEEN A SAVAGE THAT DIDNT SHOOT WELL,GOOD LUCK,JIM :agree:

Marv,
I have shot and owned a SS Savage Striker.  It was very accurate. Yes, it is a little blocky compared to a Contender, but it will handle cartridges the Contender cannot, and do so safely.  The only reason I sold mine was to pick up another XP-100, which is my preferred action for specialty handguns.  The only other thing I did not like about the Striker was it's trigger was to heavy for me.  That can be remedied with a Basix Trigger though.  If it is deer sized game and varmints are a consideration, another good choice would be the 260 Remington.

I have a striker in 260. It is the most accurate gun I own, including rifles. I'm not the best  shot, but even I can shoot a 3/8 inch group every now and then.

The 260 striker is "the" gun I take when I'm goin antelope hunting. I'm really impressed with the 260. I've only had one antelope or deer to go over 5 yards when shot with 120 gr Nosler BT's
