Winchester 120 or Remington 870
« on: July 16, 2005, 06:43:45 AM »
For a long time I thought that I'd buy a Remington 870 because I've heard so many good things about them and very few negatives.  While checking the gun store last week I came upon a couple of Winchester model 120 Ranger's.  I had never heard of this model.  Thought that it might be a budget/cheap model, and I wasn't sure how good a gun it was.  Anyone have experience with the 120?  How would you compare it to a Remington 870?

The 120's are good operators. I've sold a few and serviced a few more.
Extractors break, as in all brands.  Firing pins break, as in all brands. Ejectors break, usually as a result of improper installation following cleaning.
The guns I see here are, by and large, rode hard and put away wet but they just keep going.

Another vote for the Remington 870. One is never a bad choice.
