Shotgun receiver with light subsonic loads?

I know this has been talked about many times using a shotgun receiver for rifle barrels....  I am using my new 7.62x39 with 180 gr bullets loaded subsonic....1100 fps and less.  Does anyone see any way these loads could be a problem on my old 12 gauge receiver?  Then I could put my 243 back on the SB2 frame.

Robert, my experience with a 357maxi barrel on a topper frame led to perforated primers. MtJerry had more severe problems with a .270 barrel on an SB1 frame also. The larger hole around the firing pin was the issue on my topper/357maxi and it was evident in the pics Jerry provided, too. I don't think there would be a problem in your case as long as the primer issue doesn't appear, but that's just my opinion based on my limited experience with em.

Actually the question would be what the pressure of the load is, not if it is subsonic. How slow or fast a load is not the prefered way to decide it's safety in a given firearm. I'd be surprised if your load is running less than 25,000 psi considering the weight of the bullet, the bore diameter and the capacity of the case. Thats certainly less than the 30-30 which was chambered on like frames, but knowing that peice of information still leaves us in the dark as we don't know the actual pressures generated by your load.

Thanks Guys.  Sorry I didn't reply sooner.  My modem/dial up adapter has been out since Friday.  I am now limping along on an old one untill I can figure out how to fix ther problems.
