Scoping a DW 44 Magnum: seeking advice
« on: June 10, 2005, 05:39:40 AM »
I have a DW 44 Magnum, 8 inch barrel that I would like to mount a scope on for hunting. I'm seeking advice on scope mounts.

The ones by Weigand look like the cleanest. Does anyone have experience with these?

Or for that matter, with any others?

I have a factory mounted Burris drill and tap scope mount and Tasco scope on my 44 and it is so accurate it is scary.  I have had no problems with the B-Square clamp on scopes either. Though I have some other mounts, I have not mounted and used them.  I have an Aimpoint and a Burris clamp on which is a lot lower profile than the B-Square mount.  I have never heard of much problem with any of the above named mounts.

Welcome to the board.

Hope that helps

I bought the Weigand mount for my 7414,it is a solid mount and fits perfectly on the 8" and 10" bll's.
