I would appreciate any opinions and time anyone can give me on a scope make\model to use on my Savage 12BVSS 22-250. I plan on spending 2-3 hundred,and plan on shooting charlie(chuck..LOL) out to 400yds. WHAT WOULD YOU USE??? I have the Simmons Varmint 6.5-20x40 on my Savage 22-250 and works great.  I can reach out and touch groundhogs at 800yds easy.  This scope will run you about $120-$150.  Not the best on the market but will sure do the trick.

I have Burris 6x-24x-44mm, Target Dot on the ballistic twin to the .22-250(a .224 Weatherby Mag.) that I paid $259.00 for and a clearer, brighter scope you couldn't ask for.  Lawdog
