I can't seem to find them mentioned anywhere on Marlin's site. Did they stop making the smallbore target rig?

Anybody know?

i think they quit making them in 2003. :cry: .they are very good shooting guns, but now you might find 1 at a gun show for around $400 or gunsamerica.com. i seen 1 about 8 months ago at a gun shop for $375,and im still kicking myself for not buying it in time! :twisted: .they were made around 1999 to 2003.

Yep, discontinued. Even in the last year(s) they were available in the synthetic stock only. Stumbled onto this one last year for $350. It's now my silhouette rifle.

FWIW, They were going for $550+ new in the end ( When a new Anshutz was only $250 more.) To me, the price and trigger is what doomed them.

Bought mine new in 2001 I think. I love shotting it. Tried to get a biathlon kit for it but they are "rare as rocking horse poop".

Sort of glad I didnt get the kit now, the price was outrageous in my opinion.

Until I bought my 7000 I use to take it squirrel hunting and it was extremely accurate in this role. Lugging an 8lb 22 was its only drawback.
