Read on a other board that the Gov said Energy Cost is down for May and June. ????? What bullcrap figures is this?  Gas has been higher than hell in June and going higher.  I just paid $2.40 today a gallon for gas.     I just wrote to my Congressman and Senators tonite. We have to ask them to pass a law that all the gas is made the same for every where in the USA. None of this crap that they have to make different kinds of gas for different states or even cities that is one thing that is driving our cost of gas up as that way every refinery could make the same gas and sell it cheaper. No matter what the price of crude is. Another thing that gripes my Butt  is the speculation BS that goes on. Seems lately if it even gets cloudy in the gulf they raise the price of gas speculating that a oil derrick may have to be shut down or damaged. What BS. :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x  :x .

As long as it is available people are going to pay whatever the price is. It amazes me that one of the most technicaly advanced countries in the world cannot come up with a better and cheaper method to replace the internal combustion engine. I see grain alchohol being touted as a renewable resource fuel but if all farmers sell there corn for fuel how do we feed the people of this country and others? Until we demand a drastic change it is going to be business as usual. :music:  :music:  :music:  :music:  :music:

Forget the others! It is time the Americans take care of Americans for a change instead of trying to bail out every one else.

Don't know what you fellows are paying, but I just filled up my F-150 this morning and it took $73.00.  Glad I got rid of the F-350 one ton.

Ouch that would about take care of my  play money budget for the month. I suppose at todays prices it would cost me at  around 38 bucks to fill my tank on my 89 Jimmy I think it has a 16 gal tank. Needless to say lately 20 bucks a pop is about what I have been putting in it. Jim

Food, and other products you buy are going to be higher due to higher fuel cost as it cost more to ship. Taxes. Insurance and drugs have always been high.

I saw a chart that showed that the price of gas is (ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION) cheaper today than during the last "crisis" in the '80's.  Well, FINE, if my WAGES were adjusted for inflation also!  :roll:

We're sitting at about $2.10 per gallon here.  I'm hoping it won't go up any more.  I live a little over 20 miles from work and it's costing me about $30 per week just in gas to work and back :(.  I'm hoping it will go down a bit.  I wasn't too long ago (about 6 or 7 years) that gas hit a low of $0.87 per gallon here.
