Wyoming Elk and Deer hunt looking GOOD !!!
« on: August 12, 2012, 06:51:08 AM »
Yesterday I sighted in my hunting rifles and then took a ride up to my hunting area to see if the fires we have endured here in Wyoming have affected my area. I  was pleasantly suprised that the forage is in musch better shape than I have seen it this time of year. I hiked back in to the water holes I usually sit on and they were all full, and had a LOT of sign showing deer, elk, and even some mountain lion and bear tracks. Looks like MAYBE the fires pushed some game in our direction. Looking forward to a GREAT season. I managed to get three weeks off for the hunt so I won't be worth shooting for the next 6 weeks.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

Looks like one good thing from all the beetle kill is the open canopy now letting light and rain to the ground and lots of grass growing. We saw 2 cow elk on the west side of Robroy the other day that looked to be fatter than hogs...
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....
