finally bought an Auto 5
« on: July 24, 2005, 05:04:20 PM »
but i didn't buy that fancied up one i had pics of. pretty sure that wasn't even an Auto 5. mine's just regular Belgian made standard weight 12 ga, 2 3/4 chambers, fixed full choke, made in 1966. i paid $400 Cdn for it, the original wood is gone, and has been replaced with a Bell & Carlson Camo synthetic stock. i prefer the look of walnut, but this doesn't look too bad, and i don't have to worry about cracks and scratches. i',m gonna get a barrel thats threaed for invector or hastings chokes when i have the cash, but for know i 'll look for a used barrel with a cylinder or modifed choke. i tried 5 stand sporting clays with this and absolutiy loved it, i now shoot 2 rounds a week, the full choke adds to the challenge.
