rossi .44 mag to .444 marlin?

Has anyone had thier .44 mag rossi single reamed to .444? or has anyone thought about doing it? I'd like to get one of mine done but i'm not sure if it would hold the pressure.

Have not heard of that conversion to a Rossi. I believe I have read about the 444 over on the H&R form. It sure would be one light weight thumper!

Pressure is the same for the 44Mag and the 444.  Any 'smith with reamer could do it.  The really good thing about this coversion is the rate of twist is 1 in 16.5 and would stabilize super heavy bullets with no problem.  Of course it's gonna kick the dog snot outta ya!

Would the Rossi feed with the OAL of the 444 Marlin cartridge ?
