Reduced loads for a 35 Whelen

Has anyone tried this? I'm looking for some lower powered loads to whitetail deer hunt. I've found some information for using H4895 or SR4759 to use with jacketed bullets designed for the 35 Remington. If anyone has any load information please share.

I plan to try the Hornady 180 grain Single Shot Pistol bullet, the 180 grain Speer FP, the 200 grain Remington Core-lockt, and the 225 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip. Any other suggestions?

Accurate Powder has some loads down around 2000fps and less using 5744 aand 3100 powders. I have used both powders a lot, and they work great. The 5744 is really useful for really light loads with Magnum cartridges.

I'm working on some really reduced loads for my Whelen. 158gr hornady lead SWC seated on top of 13.0 grains of unique.
I'll shoot some of these tomorrow and let yall know how they shoot. Hopefully these will get my new scope on paper without killin my shoulder.
