do you think the 150gr. accubond at .300wsm velocities is adequate for taking mule deer out west. nosler doesn't make a 165gr. version, which is what i'd rather have. considering the hornady 165gr. interbond also

I have used the swift scirroco in my 7mm ultra mag in the 150 gr. Great bullet, and is avilable in 165 gr. for 30 cal. From what I have read the accubond does not perform as well at close ranges. I will be loading some of the scirroco's in my 300rsaum. will try the 150 and 165 to see what works best. Good Luck. DM

I use the 165 grain Hornady Interbond in my 30-06. Dropped a deer in it's tracks at 220 yds last season. The 300 WSM would also do well with 180 grain bullets.

the scirroco in 30 cal comes 150, 165, or 180 gr.

You can take deer out west with a .257 Roberts and not be under-gunned. They are soft skinned animals and not difficult to kill with a decently placed shot.
