Just an FYI, but I just picked up my new CZ 452 Varmint 17HMR and after giving the barrel a through cleaning I noticed a couple, what appears to be tooling gouges in the rifling grove about 1 ½ inches in from the muzzle end.
I called CZ USA and they said it shouldnt cause an accuracy issue with the rifle but did say that if there was a problem, they would provide me with an RMA and would replace it. I have looked through a lot of barrels in my time but this is the first.
So
.has anyone else come across nicks in these barrels and do you think it will impair the accuracy of the rifle? I am going out this weekend and hopefully I can keep them within 1 at 100 yds.
