Well, I finally got the BC off to the range to try it out. I'd brought along 30 rounds, loaded with 40 and 45 gr loads of Varget and Benchmark, respectively, behind 405 grain hardcasts. Accuracy at 50 alright, at 2.5", but I was at the extreme edge of the rear sights elevation range. Also, both powders left a lot of unburnt powder in the barrel, which has been mentioned in the forums before. Decided to just plink a bit at some of the natural targets around the range and try out the 200yd gong offhand. Had to hold about the height of the front sight blade over it to hit that but did on the second try. The trigger probably had something to do with that too, as it's about as nice as my t3 trigger.
Anyways, now I'm looking at getting the FP sight for the rear to get more elevation (are other's experience with this sight good?), and a nice lace-up recoil pad. Also, I went from the range to my gun shop and bought a pound of H4198 to try out and I'll just use the varget for my 223 and 7-08, where it's great. Hopefully I'll get a bit less powder left in the barrel with the 4198.
Overall, rifle shot pretty well and I had fun with it, especially when the explosions of dust downrange were a lot bigger than the one's the guy next to me with the 375 h&h was making :-) Made it really easy to spot hits.
