I finally got the time and weather to try shooting my new target 38/55 at 100 yds. I am happy to report that it shot a 10 shot, 4 inch group at 100 yds. I found out a few things. first I can only shoot about 3-4 shots and than have to have the barrel cool. I also need to wipe the barrel inside with a clean cloth about every 5 shots . My gun likes a clean, cool barrel. I'm as happy as a child in a candy shop.

What load and what bullet were you using?

Did you have the powder over the bullet like some like to do? -I've heard that gives some different results.

I use 24 gr. of H322. I use the cast lee 250 gr. bullet with lee liquid alox.
I always put the powder between the primer and the bullet.
