A Classic? Double Again Today
« on: December 19, 2005, 05:54:10 PM »
Was very cold here today and even colder this evening.
When the two yotes broke cover, they made a bee line towards me.
Many of you already know that in a situation like this you are suppose to take the rear-most first because the one in the front may run towards you.

This is exactly what happened. I took the bigger male out @ 150yds. Perhaps the female heard the bullet strike that dog and/or heard it go down cause she kicked into high gear running straight for me
She veered off @95yds and slowed enough to present an easy broadside.

Pictures? Yes and no. No luck at this. Can resize them to GB spec's but either get a file to large or corrupt or file type not supported error message. :?
Maybe one day I will shoot that camera. :)

Hi Mangulator :D
I am using the .22-250 but am reloading for it. I use an older Hornady bullet, the 55gr #2267 which works very well as far as being fur friendly.
I am pushing these around 3,700fps and the velocity works it's magic well.

I really had not got out that much this year and have only taken 8 yotes
so far but that includes doubles two times so far. I have never seen the like, usually I wont get any pairs till Feb.
My longest shot (this year) has been at 150yds and the other seven were all under 100yds! All of the yotes were down & out instantly.
