I have a 223 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem & 308 Win, all in Remington M-7!

I just went and measured them, and they are all exactly the same length as far as the action goes!
The only difference in them besides caliber is that there is a spacer in the back end of the 223's magazine!
I believe that the difference in the standard model and the youth model is only the length of the stock!  Some people get by, by just adding a slip-on recoil pad!

Hope this helps you out!

runngun, Chuck White is correct in that the only difference in the M7 Youth model and "standard" model stocks is the length. IIRC, there's about 1" or so difference between the two. I've got a Ram-Line black synthetic stock for the M7, if you're interested. It is the "standard" length, not the Youth sized stock. MI VHNTR

The only difference in the youth vs. standard stock in the model seven is the length of pull (12 3/8 inches vs. 13 3/16 inches).
But it sound like your question is about action length. The model seven is only available in short action calibers, as opposed to the model 700 which is chambered in short, long, & magnum length actions. So, all model seven stocks will fit all model seven actions interchangeably.
