Norton Holds Meeting On Plan to Ease Gun Limits

Washington (AP) - D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (website - news - bio) will hold a community meeting tonight. She wants to hear from D.C. residents about a congressional proposal to ease the city's gun limits.

D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams and Police Chief Charles Ramsey also are expected to attend the meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Shaw Junior High School in Northwest.

The House voted last month to prohibit the District from enforcing a law that requires firearms kept in homes to be unloaded and disassembled, or to have a safety lock on the trigger.

The Senate has yet to vote on the proposal.

*FW Note:

How sad is it, that these political powermongers would dare to believe that they have some authority to decide what an American citizen may do in the privacy of his own home, or with his privately owned property?

 :x
They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.
